Sam simply nods at Araceli's thoughts on being glad that the group hadn't shown up during the attack. There's mixed feelings on that. Any other group of Templars he might have worried, but with Norrington... he would have gotten the job done and seen to everyone's safety.
He does give a long sigh and rubs the back of his head at the last question though. That was definitely a tough subject. "You don't have the wrong impression. Mage and Templars do have strained relations in general. Obviously for good reasons. My relations with them is a bit more difficult though. I did say I hated the Circle and having to be watched and not being able to leave, but I never said I hated the Templars, right?"
There's a small smile on his face as he recalls the last conversation they had, back in the library when he was writing a letter. "I am pleased to see them. They're good men and women who just happen to be Templars. It was... difficult at times because of Chantry rules, but they are friends."
