Trying to pry the plank out is harder than it looks, mostly since he's trying not to break it seeing as Adelaide had mentioned wanting to keep the crate intact. A bit of the wood does splinter, but he does manage to remove the wood whole. Stepping back with the wood and pry var, he gives her room to see what's inside.
