The Venatori camp is nested in the Hissing Wastes of Orlais, surrounded by dusty cliffs and defacto burial sites with rough markers that sandstorms have worn away. Varghests crawl around the border, unchecked by the Venatori, dissuading visitors but keeping far from their business, their tents and lean-tos. Of course, whatever keeps visitors out also keeps prisoners in.
The prisoners are kept in the center of the camp, in a wooden prison cart that seems too transitional to suggest they'll be kept here long. Daisy keeps watch over them. It's a shit job for someone of her talents, but she gets it better than she had when she'd first joined SHIELD and was locked in the car like some kind of disobedient child. She's not just untrained to Venatori standards — until recently, she was the enemy. She needs to prove herself if she wants to get anywhere in their ranks.
So she takes her job seriously. Even late on this clear night, she stays alert, chatting amiably with her colleagues — "Yeah, they just got in tonight," "No, I don't know how long I'll be here." — and ignoring the human beings trapped in a cage just beside her. "I heard top brass is gonna stop by for an inspection soon. Good news for us." A chance to get out of here, into a more meaningful position.
There is one exception amongst the prisoners. Tony Stark's help is enlisted in the dwarven ruins they're here to excavate. A more fitting use of her abilities, Daisy begins her day escorting him down to the ruin, unlocking the manacles they keep him in and observing his work as he makes dusty sense of what's down there — sometimes with Fitz, sometimes without. But she's always just over his shoulder, hawk-eyed.

And then what. Become a cartoon skeleton with a goatee in the Hissing Wastes, a few klicks out? I mean, maybe.
Once Daisy has straightened up from removing the bindings at his ankles, Tony says in a conspirational mutter, "Okay, so you're creating the distraction, and I'm making a run for it. We meet up at the Denny's parking lot. Fitz'll keep the car running. Next stop, the big city.
"No? Where'd I lose you."
