He looks from Ellis to Laura when she speaks, weighing both suggestions in his mind. Then he glances backwards, briefly. There's nothing stopping them from going back up those stairs, finding the others, and reporting what they found down here. They don't have to figure out whatever is in this room, if it leads elsewhere, risk awakening — anything. Maybe Ellis has a point, that he and Adrasteia are better equipped to take care of things if they have to worry about the Blight.
