WHO: Beleth and Nerva, then anyone who wants to scold Beleth. This is only open to current CR.
WHAT: Beleth got caught spying, but ran for it. Nerva finds her anyway and sticks her with stables work. After that, Beleth is available for people to scold.
WHEN: Backdated to after Templar meeting but before First Day party
WHERE: Skyhold battlements, and the stables.

Merrick makes a beeline for the stables as soon as he finds out. He's relieved that Beleth hasn't been punished more grievously--because he cares for her and doesn't want her in trouble, of course, but also because he wants to admonish her himself.

Probably not for the same reasons, though.

He spots her near the hart, having moved to the stall without making a single sound, and he clears his throat loudly to get her attention.

She jumps, nearly falling off the stall she'd been sitting on when she hears a sudden noise. Turning around, she's first surprised to see Merrick quite suddenly there, and relieved. No one that would be telling her to get back to work, at least. She slid off the stall and turned to him, rubbing her forehead.

She wasn't surprised that Merrick had found out--she'd been making enough of a scene, and plenty of people knew that they were clanmates. Though her relaxed stance and the casual way she spoke made it obvious she wasn't expecting any reprimands from the other Dalish.

"Hello, Merrick. You scared me for a second there, I thought that you were that terrible woman." She makes a face. "Can you believe it, Merrick? Right out of my bed and everything. Scared me half to death, didn't even tell me where she was taking me. Creators, I think she took a year off my life."

"I'll deal with her," Merrick says darkly, then sighs.

"You didn't hear or see me coming," he tells her, sounding irritated. "That's how you spy, Bell. What the fuck were you thinking?"

"Just don't kill her, or the other Templars will get twitchy." Beleth said airily, probably as a joke. "But if you do, tell me, and I'll hide the body." Maybe as a joke. Who knows. She's about to lean over to him, when he directs that irritation at her, and she freezes.

Merrick was mad at her.

She withdraws, eyes turned down, and gives a stubborn shrug. "I was thinking I could do it. They didn't see me or anything, and they didn't hear me for most of the meeting, either. It was just..." She didn't want to say that she had been revealed when she started scoffing because they were being really dumb. "...It was just an accident."
