Being towed by the elbow is very commonplace by now. Wysteria has made habit of it, increasingly so since their arrival. The hook of Bastien's arm sees them up the steps without complaint, right up until Ellis has to reconsider the series of poses and faces they've strolled past as something looming in his future.

The look Ellis directs back to Bastien is very mild, even if it carries some aggrieved element in it. It's an expression that telegraphs Ellis' opinion, even if he doesn't manage a complaint aloud.

"You're enjoying this," is the observation Ellis makes instead.

Plenty of other people are. It's not a crime to do so.

It just isn't for Ellis. Even in his hard-won restyling, Ellis is still viscerally uncomfortable in this place.

"Do the books cost money?" just might be a diversion. Who can say.
