It's the first time Ellie's been face to face with the playful sarcasm she's heard from Abby over the crystals, and it's different in person. It looks natural on her. The almost-smile softens her into someone entirely different from all the parts of her she's known before.

"Says miss guts-in-her-hair," Ellie mutters, but it's with something that almost looks like a smile.
