Clarisse just laughs, ducking her head. Ellie will have to trust that she won't give her candy that's going to actually injure her.

"You can't go wrong with fudge," she says, following Ellie's gaze once they step away from the pop rocks, "but my favorite are these chocolate truffle things." She points out a selection of truffles decorated in different colors, with powdered sugar sprinkled over their shells. "They have a harder chocolate shell and this really soft chocolate inside, and they just look cool."

They're gonna get some of these, thanks.

"My friend Silena, her dad owned this chocolate shop in the Village," Clarisse adds. "Well... owns, I guess. I would've taken you there if I thought it existed in this universe. Anyway, he used to send her these amazing chocolates every month and she'd always share."
