It's a bit dizzying, though he wonders how different his life might have been if he'd have had contact with the world in this way. (And then immediately realizes there is no way Circle mages would have had access to such a resource, even if it existed.)

"It is strange to me. Thinking of a world where most people don't know that magic exists. So much of my life has been shaped by people who can't do magic reacting to the fact that some of us can."
