Vanya's general air of being out of place hasn't dissipated in Orlais, but he is doing his best, it seems, to meet every expectation he's been handed. He routinely wears the Riftwatch-provided mask and appears (perhaps predictably) to be more at ease on guard duty than as a party guest. He does, however, make conversation when called upon, largely asking those talking to him questions about their own accomplishments and interests. Perhaps luckily for Vanya, most Orlesians are happy to talk about themselves.

Unluckily for Gwenaëlle, he's still up and unhurriedly walking the halls when he turns a corner and finds her halfway out the window. There's a pause and a brief frown, and then an advance so he doesn't have to raise his voice: "What are you doing?"
