As baffling as it is for Gwen that this needs to be said, Ness is clearly equally baffled that the obvious applies to her, and she isn't some terrible exception. That's dramatic and eyeroll-worthy enough that she doesn't plan to say it, but her wide, nervous, surprised eyes probably say it for her.
