benevenuta doesn't set out to linger in the herald's rest - she'd come in for a drink when word had got out about the brandy (and hadn't that word traveled quickly!) and considered mingling a little, but weighed the slowly darkening mood against potential benefits and decided against making it too long a visit. or, at least, that had been the plan
but then someone twice her height had made a Remark about her drink and to cut a long story short, as she totters out of the tavern, wobbly on her feet, she is at least not in so bad a form as her opponent, currently leaning up against a wall outside and emptying his guts.
