He’s leaned over to pick up the cardboard box, balancing it against his knee for easier access, and he glances over at Ness’ find.

“They like their skulls on skulls on skulls here, don’t they?” Strange remarks, dryly. He doesn’t really know how to explain his burst of ill-timed hilarity. This is a common form of mail, back where I come from. But also it’s an evil capitalist corporation actually. We’re in the middle of a gigantic graveyard surrounded by zombies. I used to get toilet paper in these. They can get things to you from the other side of the world in literally two days. It’s like magic.

And he usually uses his magic to summon a fiery sword, but this time he reaches into the Fade and grasps the hilt of a spirit-blade, dagger-sized, small enough to use as a letter-opener and slide down the crevice of the box, cutting through the tape. He opens the flaps — it feels oddly like Christmas, or perhaps Satinalia — and then peers into the recesses of the small box.

He pulls out rolls of plastic, featuring rows and rows of gold stars, and holds them up for Ness’ inspection.

“Huh. I’ve heard that things from other worlds can pop out from rifts just like rifters do, but this is my first time actually seeing it. This is like something from home— gold star stickers, if I’m not mistaken.”
