The house is dusty but neat. That dust is undisturbed enough that it doesn't look like the intruders have been in this particular side hallway. For the best, considering that Vanya is not tremendously good at moving quietly (though at least he's in a Riftwatch uniform rather than full armor). Still, his voice is low when he says, "If they went in the front, they're probably in the library or maybe raiding my mother's jewelry.
