corpsestuff: (Considering)

Seeker, or Templar? Either way, Emmrich can't help get a little stiffer, a little tense. He knew fully well he wouldn't have done well in a Circle and there's guilt to that awareness as well as fear. He does the watching, and he doesn't need a watcher, a minder, someone who sees mages as threats.

It is possible that Cedric is one of the rare exceptions to the Templar norm, but now Emmrich must consider the man's attitude toward Manfred.

"Could Riftwatch have warned us of the threat headed for here?" he replied in Nevarran. "Did they have forewarning? Because the Mourn Watch cannot protect blind either. We do our best to help. But we can only do so much."

He knew the spirits and the people inside the Necropolis. Outside? He and many others were weak there. This disaster had been eye-opening in unfortunate ways.
