"I am with the Mourn Watch. I protect all beings here, living and otherwise. There are times when some spirits become twisted and must be dealt with to protect others, but even then one does not bind them."

He generally believes in the concept of a Maker. But what he has seen in the depths of the Necropolis does not have a Chantry explanation, and the cruelty perpetuated by the Chantry gives him reason to distrust the organization. He is not about to breathe a word of this out loud, however.

"I also count multiple spirits as friends, and one as a companion. I could not be a friend while binding one of them. Finally, that is a rare ability not dependent upon a spirit called Corpse-whispering. It uses the Fade to draw the remnants of the former occupants of the corpse to the surface, as corpses retain some memories of who inhabited them first."

He stands, stretching. He doesn't think Talin is about to attack him. There's arrogance and sharpness there, heavy judgement, but he doesn't feel an active threat at the moment.
