The idea of elf slaying elf feels so unnatural to her. She's sure that somewhere, elves have argued and took things too far, but a battle? The People were scattered and the world was against them. It made no sense to turn on each other. But Galadriel's world must be much different for elves to turn on each other over jewels. Or perhaps not jewels, but what they represented. The elves of Thedas have had so much taken from them, and they cling so desperately to what remains. In that way, Ellana supposes she can understand the need to regain what was lost. But the elves of Arda seem far more blessed than Thedosian elves. While the theft may have been terrible, at least they weren't slaughtered, their empire destroyed, and the survivors taken as slaves who saw their culture chipped away from them.
