"Actually, that depends on the drink and the talent of your bartender, but I won't take that personally," Ruby replies, laughing a little bit. "And was that an actual question or a rhetorical one? Because I've encountered some reasons, definitely. Not for me personally, but..." Again, bartender. To meet a lot of people who are drinking for a lot of reasons, happy or sad.
Entertaining booze banter aside, Ruby looks more thoughtful. "I don't know many fairies very well. I'm not sure that anyone who isn't a fairy knows them that well, honestly. Blue, though, she's the head fairy, I guess. She... she knows more about magic than I think most people could imagine, probably. But she's definitely not one to sit around in a garden, she was kind of politically involved with the kingdom, when Snow and Charming needed magical council." Her smile is apologetic. Yeah, she's not expecting Hermione to necessarily believe her, at least not easily. "They use fairy dust and, um. They grant wishes, when they can. I've never tried to make a wish on a blue star, or anything, but I think they have to follow rules and have limitations on what they can do?"
She leaves out the part about how they're a group of nuns, in Storybrooke. That seems like it could just confuse the issue.
"I'm not a witch or a wizard, so I'm not the most experienced. I know there's Light and Dark magic." A bit of a frown. "I could tell you about what I know from the Wolf thing, if that'd help? Or... the experience I had with a wizard that wasn't a kind of, um, extreme situation."
