That makes plenty of sense to Kain, really, despite how unlike the magic of his world it seems to be. "That sounds like an incredible spell." He's trying to imagine it, animals coming forth like Eidolons to defend the caster. "Although we have defensive spells of protection, it's nothing on that level... we simply have one that's a shell of magic absorbing the worst of magical attacks, and another to protect against physical attacks. Still, I hope you're able to work your best even with the restrictions of this world..."

"An apt comparison." He'd been sure there's some fundamental similarity somewhere, but the more he hears of the differences, the stranger it all seems.
