"I didn't mean to question your character," she said. Which was absolutely true. She hadn't been questioning his character so much as...probing into his character. But, she supposed, she could see the conflation of the two. She would have to be a bit more careful, at least with the male Rifters.

She folded her hands behind her back, using the body language she'd picked up from the Humans to appear completely open, honest, and vulnerable.
