"Well, it was an accident, to be fair," Kirk allowed. "It was not as if Old Spock expected that reaction to happen, or for it to be able to spit him and Nero out at another point of time. Or in Spock's case another dimension." God it's complicated, because how do you really determine between the two - time and dimension? This was why this subject gave him a headache. "All of it was an accident." But there is a sadness in his eyes, a grief that shall never quite leave. "It shouldn't even be regulated. It shouldn't even exist."

He has opinions on this Hermoine, sorry to say. His experience with it had been less than fantastic, to say the least, and he was glad they had destroyed the only known samples on Spock's ship. Or so he hoped. There could be traces, but even so, he prayed not enough to do anything with.

He smiled at her thought, happy enough to move away from such a painful topic, quite literally in his case. "I don't think you're mad. The universe is wide and vast and there are probably more dimensions than we can imagine too. Whose to say what can happen on those other worlds, in those other dimensions? I mean, I did get brought here, didn't I? I would say at this point closing my mind to anything is about the worst thing I can do - even if I might disagree on a word or two."
