Ellana knows the spymaster must be bogged down with work, but after hearing rumors of Leliana's views, she decides to come see for herself. Rumors are just that, and she wants to hear Leliana's opinions from her own lips, not filtered through several people who heard it from a friend of a friend.

She comes up the stairs to the rookery, and when she spots Leliana she appears to be at liberty, so Ellana approaches, footsteps light despite the boots she wears. She has no illusions about coming up on a master spy unheard.
