"I was the Hearthkeeper in the clan. That means I was responsible for lighting all our campfires. I would ask Sylaise the hearthkeeper for her favor before lighting each one, and when I extinguished it too. But I never asked for her favor when using a fire spell. Those fires were for different purposes." She shifts a little against the beam. "But even outside of the clan, I'll pray to Sylaise when I light fires. I won't abandon all our ways."
