Those words -- a permanent settlement -- cause a grin to break out across her face. It's what she's always wanted for the Dalish people. She's wanted them to have four walls and a roof over their head. She's wanted them to be able to plant crops and hand down property to their children. But it's always just seemed like a dream. Who would give them land? The humans claim it all. How would they not be driven off by humans, even if they did have a place of their own?
"Oh, I hope they succeed! It sounds like a real challenge, but the fact that they're trying is important." And now she finally calms down a little to add: "I'm a mage too. The amount of Dalish mages here is a little surprising, but we all have our reasons."
