Welcome to the Great Building Project of 9:42, Dragon! So you've come to help construct some living structures and barracks? Excellent, there are several areas in which everyone's help is needed.

Clearing

The Mage Council themselves have dedicated themselves to clearing out the valley, and flattening it as well, so buildings can be constructed. They'll need all the magical help they can get, honestly, and even that will include people to help clear away the wood to be used for building, as well as the stone and other materials. It will be a lot of heavy lifting, carrying, or being able to drive a cart.

Building

Of course there is the building. Holding up walls, hammer and nails, thatch on the roofs, cutting out awkward window where necessary. Putting together fireplaces and firepits. The deft of hand and light of feet are the ones who can climb the roofs, move around without any problems to haul up sod and other things to plug the holes on the roof to make for a snug small hut, or a long and clean barrack hall.

Healing

And of course, there are accidents. Someone accidentally hammers their own hand, falls off a roof, gets a splinter in their finger. The healers themselves are going to need fresh water and herbs brought in, as well as food brought to keep them going.

Fetching/Carrying

Messages need to be brought back and forth between the builders. Water needs to be brought to the thirsty, as well as food. There are a million little things that need to be done to complete this great endeavor, so feel free to help out whatever little way you feel you can.

Katniss

Katniss is everywhere.

There's not a place you won't see the slender young woman, dark hair pulled back in a braid that is coming out in wisps. Dirt smudges her face and hands, but there's a faint smile on her face and no matter what she's doing, she's humming softly. At her heel is the wolf pup, who trots along beside her faithfully, and stands guard while Katniss is up atop a roof, hammering.

She's carrying water to give to people who are building, as well as food. Lifting bundles of stick and rock out of the way, or walking with a builder, murmuring softly over the plans.

Need to talk to her? Just snag her. She'll be glad to stop and talk to anyone who is helping out here.

Hearing someone run up, Sam pauses in his work, bringing his arm up to wipe at the sweat on his brow from the work he's doing. Even with his shirt off and the cool breeze, it's still a bit warm seeing as the sun was bright out.

Both Cyril and the water are a welcome sight, even if he does give the water a bit of a look as he moves closer. It'll probably be a while before he looks at water around Skyhold the same way.

"You promise?"

Cyril's eyes openly take in the sight of Sam sweaty and shirtless. He's happily distracted by that for a moment. He really has to resist the urge to reach out and touch that glistening skin.

"With all my heart," he says. "I've been drinking it all day and not one sign of a spirit."

Noting the way Cyril just stops, Sam gives an amused huff, placing his hands on his hips as he waits for the elf to come back to himself. He had mentioned before about being distracted.

"I suppose I can trust it if you've tested it that much."

Cyril grins a bit. "I could dumb it all over you and you could shake it off slowly and we could really make sure..."

"I don't think pouring it over me will have the same effect," he says with a chuckle, brushing back some of his hair with a hair. "Getting dumped with water does sound good though. How cold is it?"

[samahl]

Cyril raises his brow a bit in surprise. "Not too cold. Here, drink some first to make up your mind."

Was it really that surprising that he had thought it was a good idea? And maybe perhaps teasing Cyril back a little bit since he knew obviously why the elf would suggest pouring water over someone. "Thank you," he says with a small smile as he takes the cup and sips it a bit before drinking the rest with a couple gulps. That really did hit the spot.

Cyril smiles happily at Sam drinking the water. "I'm still willing to get you all wet," he says. "Though it might hamper your progress."

"Oh? How do you figure?" he asks, using the back of his wrist to wipe at the water along his chin. Silently he lifts the cup for permission to get another cup of water.

[samahl]

He takes the cup and refills it for Sam before handing it back. "Because anyone who finds men attractive will have to stop and stare."

Well he wasn't exactly expecting that, looking down at the cup with a huff, feeling his cheeks grow just a little hot. "Well then I suppose it wouldn't my progress being hampered, but rather everyone else's."

[samahl]

"Oh, your's as well, because you'll have to fight them all off."

[el_tybs]

He highly doubts that would happen, but he still chuckles at the imagery. "You're going to leave me to fend for myself?"

[samahl]

"How do you know I wouldn't be one of them?" Cyril replies, smirking a bit now.

[el_tybs]

Sam blinks. "Well then I'd have to plan on running then. Not sure I can fight you off."

[samahl]

"Are you kidding me? With those arms? I'm pretty sure you could."

[el_tybs]

"Well you're a lot more agile. I'm pretty sure you'd get me tied up or something." Not to mention that he wouldn't want to fight Cyril, or off in that matter. "You're good with traps and such right?"

[samahl]

Cyril is pretty distracted by the thought of Sam being tied up. His eyes even widen a bit. "What? Oh... yes. I suppose I am. I'm learning anyway."

[el_tybs]

Sam takes the pause and the look as surprise at that he had known about the traps. "You should show me sometime. I'd like to see what you do."

[samahl]

"Would you like to learn how to make some? Then you could be a mage who makes swords and traps and confuse everyone."

[el_tybs]

"I think I already confuse everyone," he says with a laugh. Mage blacksmith kind of did that. "I wouldn't be opposed to learning if you're offering to teach."

[samahl]

"I'd love too." Any excuse to spend more time with Sam.

[el_tybs]

"Is there a particular place you work, or where you want me to meet you?" Cyril didn't build traps out of his room did he?

[samahl]

"A work station. Then I sell them outside and make some tweaks there. Just not the explosive ones."

[el_tybs]

"Right, because everyone loves to have something explode in their face." Sam chuckles a bit, rubbing at his forehead again. "That sounds good to me. When do you usually work?"
