WHO: The Inquisition
WHAT: Building!

Welcome to the Great Building Project of 9:42, Dragon! So you've come to help construct some living structures and barracks? Excellent, there are several areas in which everyone's help is needed.

Clearing

The Mage Council themselves have dedicated themselves to clearing out the valley, and flattening it as well, so buildings can be constructed. They'll need all the magical help they can get, honestly, and even that will include people to help clear away the wood to be used for building, as well as the stone and other materials. It will be a lot of heavy lifting, carrying, or being able to drive a cart.

Building

Of course there is the building. Holding up walls, hammer and nails, thatch on the roofs, cutting out awkward window where necessary. Putting together fireplaces and firepits. The deft of hand and light of feet are the ones who can climb the roofs, move around without any problems to haul up sod and other things to plug the holes on the roof to make for a snug small hut, or a long and clean barrack hall.

Healing

And of course, there are accidents. Someone accidentally hammers their own hand, falls off a roof, gets a splinter in their finger. The healers themselves are going to need fresh water and herbs brought in, as well as food brought to keep them going.

Fetching/Carrying

Messages need to be brought back and forth between the builders. Water needs to be brought to the thirsty, as well as food. There are a million little things that need to be done to complete this great endeavor, so feel free to help out whatever little way you feel you can.

Katniss

Katniss is everywhere.

There's not a place you won't see the slender young woman, dark hair pulled back in a braid that is coming out in wisps. Dirt smudges her face and hands, but there's a faint smile on her face and no matter what she's doing, she's humming softly. At her heel is the wolf pup, who trots along beside her faithfully, and stands guard while Katniss is up atop a roof, hammering.

She's carrying water to give to people who are building, as well as food. Lifting bundles of stick and rock out of the way, or walking with a builder, murmuring softly over the plans.

Need to talk to her? Just snag her. She'll be glad to stop and talk to anyone who is helping out here.

"Oh, your's as well, because you'll have to fight them all off."

He highly doubts that would happen, but he still chuckles at the imagery. "You're going to leave me to fend for myself?"

"How do you know I wouldn't be one of them?" Cyril replies, smirking a bit now.

Sam blinks. "Well then I'd have to plan on running then. Not sure I can fight you off."

"Are you kidding me? With those arms? I'm pretty sure you could."

"Well you're a lot more agile. I'm pretty sure you'd get me tied up or something." Not to mention that he wouldn't want to fight Cyril, or off in that matter. "You're good with traps and such right?"

Cyril is pretty distracted by the thought of Sam being tied up. His eyes even widen a bit. "What? Oh... yes. I suppose I am. I'm learning anyway."

Sam takes the pause and the look as surprise at that he had known about the traps. "You should show me sometime. I'd like to see what you do."

"Would you like to learn how to make some? Then you could be a mage who makes swords and traps and confuse everyone."

"I think I already confuse everyone," he says with a laugh. Mage blacksmith kind of did that. "I wouldn't be opposed to learning if you're offering to teach."

"I'd love too." Any excuse to spend more time with Sam.

"Is there a particular place you work, or where you want me to meet you?" Cyril didn't build traps out of his room did he?

"A work station. Then I sell them outside and make some tweaks there. Just not the explosive ones."

"Right, because everyone loves to have something explode in their face." Sam chuckles a bit, rubbing at his forehead again. "That sounds good to me. When do you usually work?"

"Either early in the morning before I set up my stall, or later in the afternoon before I end up in the tavern. You do lessons in the morning don't you? It might be easier to meet up in the afternoon? I could stop by the blacksmith and we could head to my work place together." He usually stopped by the blacksmith on his own anyway, even if Sam didn't see him.

"Yeah. Less so for myself now though - I've been teaching some of the young ones so that they get more attention during a lesson. The afternoon should work though. I generally practice in the ring or something else, when I'm not working the forge, so easy to skip." Picking him up were you, Cyril? "That sounds good. So you'll pick me up in the afternoon?"

"I will," he smiled a bit. "You know, pretty soon you'll be a mage who knows all about swords and traps. You'll be a mage, warrior, and rogue all in one."

"I don't think I'll be that good. I jut like being prepared, especially since we don't know what's going to happen." During or even after the Inquisition. "At least it's important to know about those since I do work with metal, right?"

Cyril reaches out and touches Sam's arm lightly. "If things go sour then I'll make sure you have everything you need to take care of yourself."

He hadn't meant anything that dire, but the concern certainly has the mage smiling slightly. "And what things pray tell am I going to need?"

"Lots of traps, apparently," Cyril responds, grinning a bit. At least that's a joke, to lighten the mood.

"Now see I knew I was missing something in my life. Clearly it was traps. It's a good thing you're going to be showing me such things." Not that he planned on getting into trap making, but it at least didn't hurt to learn, especially if someone was willing to teach.

"I have to be useful for at least something," Cyril responds with a grin. Then he considers the water. "Though I should probably move on for today. We'll meet up for the lessons?"

Ah, he was keeping Cyril wasn't he? He's only a little sorry that he's done so, but others did need water. "Yeah. Guess I should get back to work as well. These buildings aren't going to build themselves."

"And people aren't going to gawk at their own muscles," he teases a bit. "Give them a good show." Then he winks at Sam and moves to walk away.
