We of the Dairsmuid Circle wait now, behind barricades. I have sent word to our brother and sister mages of this outrage. When they break through, we will not die alone.

meeting the mage contacts;
[As soon as everyone has recovered and found their legs again, a young man joins their group to speak with Araceli; they leave Dairsmuid behind because it's not safe for mages. Not when there are Templars. Not when there is the threat of Qunari looming. Two small boats await them where they'll pass mangroves on their way to the temporary camp where the mages and their loved ones had fled to.
It's the aftermath of an uproar when they arrive, Araceli leaving everyone to find out what happened. When she calls for everyone, her face is grim: the Templars arrived when she left the previous night to await them all in Dairsmuid.
Time is of the essence but the contacts, upset and frightened as they understandably are will submit to questioning but they all agree on one thing: they have been returned to Dairsmuid so the Templars can finish what they started. The Inquisition must help them now or it will be too late.
Feel free to mingle as you see fit and to chatter to the contacts at the camp, or do some investigating - if you'd like me to npc let me know but you can npc the contacts yourselves like during the soiree!]

[Araceli's news is met with a scowl. Of course it couldn't be that easy. The local Templars just had to slip in and fuck everything up, naturally. The only reason she resists saying that is for the genuine gratitude she has for those Templars/Seekers who actually came to assist in preventing a massacre.
Not one to stay idle, she'll pace around and do some investigating, hoping to pick up something of note before they leave. She'll also pause to gently question those contacts who don't seen even more on edge at being spoken to by a 'qunari'. Hopefully, her kind's greater presence in Rivain will make that easier, and though she's no healer, Korrin will still pass on what she can of available potions. Some she'll have to keep for the battle ahead, but she can spare a few.

[ It's murmured gently as Ellana comes up to her side, arms crossed. ]
Would they have taken them back to the Circle Tower? We need to search there right away.

The more I think about it, that seems the most likely course. Fucking hell. You're right, we can't stay put here. We'll just have to haul ass and try to come up with a plan along the way.

[He looks grim, hand tight on his staff.]
Is anyone here familiar with the building itself? We should find that out before we possibly leave them behind.

I have been to the Circle, before the Seekers came. [A look is directed towards some of the others brought with the group, still angry with them no matter what they might have been told.] Not as large as Circles elsewhere, didn't need them that way. Less like a tower too. Lots of libraries, all burned though. Barricades that-- barricades that they built. To fight the Seekers and Templars off, they were still there when they escaped.

Do you know of any small rooms in the building? Anywhere the Templars would herd the mages together to... to make it easier for them to kill them all at once?
[ It's hard to say it like this, but saying "annul them" doesn't sound right, so she'll call it what it is. ]
no subject
What she said. Please, any detail at all might help us reach them before it's too late.

He actually flinched at the thought of those libraries burning, before he asked quietly.]
The Templars themselves - they have quarters outside the Circle then? A separate building?
[He arched an eyebrow at the others. If that was the case, they could get lucky and trap some of them within that building, while they attacked the main one.]

[Breaking away from the other group, a young man joins the woman, setting his hand on her arm to squeeze but his gaze never leaves James, not for a moment; there's a blade at his hip, a small one, nothing that could have done anything to those who came to take the mages but from how tight he's gripping it, it gives him some sort of strength or comfort to know it's there.
He has a quiet voice, gentle but clear.] It was to appease the Chantry, elsewhere, to make them happy. Quarters to live in but larger since families could visit or for a Seer and her apprentice. They had to have dungeons too. In case there were problems. [The sneer twists his features as the woman reaches to take both his hands in hers, rubbing them gently.] There is only Dairsmuid, only the Circle.

[His eyes stay on the two before them. While he doesn't see anyone in this group asking after his knowledge of that, he also doesn't want to let on that it's his experience and not that of others he's speaking from.]
The dungeon entrance... is there just one? Or are there a few?
no subject
The others have the questions well in hand, and he does not suppose any additions from his corner would be well received, or answered. Instead he stoically stands with his hands well away from his weapon so he cannot spook the mages further.]
no subject
He stands on the ground, for the moment; his hat is still drawn low over his face to hide his eyes, but he looks up to ask his question. ]
If there is paper- perhaps someone could draw a map? With the location of the barricades, as well.

[ Mal has, for the most part, hung back to let the others talk. But the more he hears the more he cares and the more this pointless bullshit cuts at him. If people just paid attention- if they just looked at what was go'n on in the world around them they wouldn't have to sweep in to set shit right. If the Chantry didn't just indoctrinate any old asshole into the order just cuz his blood was blue. ]
no subject
[Sighing, the woman pulls him close, tucking him to her side as she takes over so they'll get some answers since there's something useful she can impart.]
Normal locks, I am sure the Seekers among you can confirm that was why they came with their Templar dogs from Ayesleigh in the first place; our Circle was ours, it was not a prison. [The Seekers and Templar are here, they are here and they will feel the lash of her tongue in place of their brethren, she cares not for whatever they might say while her loved ones are gone and hurting yet again.]
no subject
[ It's said gently to appease the angry young man. If no one is left here to make a map, they need something else. ]
We only have guesses right now, but it's all we have to work with. Do any of you know what the building looks like now? Any broken bits of roof or windows that a small animal can get through? I ask because I can get in and scout around if that's the case.
no subject
We'll do all we can to get them back.
[He can't promise success, but he can at least promise that much. Adjusting the staff on his back, Anders looks around at the group. Those who know the most have been taken, but that's the way things go sometimes.]
If there's anything else, anything you think you should add, please. We'll take what we can get, but I know we shouldn't stay here long.
