[closed] heal plz

WHO: Cade, Alayre, a healer (TBD) and Nerva later
WHAT: Cade's face was ruined by an angry elf. And his arm was too. Resident Templar Dad Alayre brings him to the healing tents.
WHEN: Backdated, the night of the soiree
WHERE: Skyhold
NOTES: Warning for likely discussion of violence and maybe gross things.

Cade's face is a broken mass of blood and bruises, his eyes so swollen that he can hardly see. Also, his shoulder is dislocated! He needs a lot of help to get to the healing tents. Hopefully someone there will receive him. Hopefully they will also give him a sucker, one that isn't a bad flavor like orange or grape.

Cade is also afraid he is going to be executed for fighting another elf and is an anxious mess, not like that's anything out of the ordinary.

The soiree had been... fun, but after a time of dancing, talking, eating and trying not to let his somber thoughts and emotions get to him or anyone else, Sam feels like he's had enough for the evening. Even so the mage cannot bring himself to head back to his room just yet, knowing that he wouldn't find sleep so easily and his dreams would probably wake him up anyways.

Instead Sam heads to the healers' tents, decided to organize a bit and check up on some of the patients there. For the most part people were asleep, or enjoying what snacks that had been brought to them by family and friends. He smiles slightly at that, and settles himself by the fire to warm up for a bit.

Alayre looks absolutely somber as he carefully helps Cade towards the healing tents. He could tell that the Templar's right arm is dislocated just by how it dangles uselessly at his side. It's actually frightening to see Cade in such a dismal state, especially since the blond looks as if he was mauled by a dragon. His face is a bloody mess with all sorts of bruises and cuts lining all across the brows and cheeks. Merrick, that accursed elf, did a number on Cade and Alayre almost worries that the Templar might go blind after being so brutally mauled.

"Careful, watch your step." He whispered as he carefully helped Cade down the stairs into the courtyard. Once they managed to overcome that minor obstacle, Alayre sits the blond down within one of the chairs in the tents. It's then that he immediately searches for anyone who could assist them.

"SAM!" He calls for the mage's help as soon as he spots him. "Come quick! I need your help." Alayre quickly explains as he waves Sam over. It's been awhile since the two had last spoke but the Knight Commander knows that Sam is a healer with considerable enough talent. He would've searched for Leblanc or someone as adept as her but Sam is good enough.

"Cade been injured and badly at that." That's just putting it mildly.

Even though he's at the tents, Sam is not expecting to be called upon, at least not in such a hurried and frantic manner. Hearing his name called so loudly over a distance has the mage jumping a bit in his chair, back straightening before standing up and looking for the source.

"Alayre? What-?" He doesn't finish that sentence when the Templar mentions needing help. Quick to move at that, he makes his way over to where Alayre is then follows him. Cade? He has to think about the name for a moment, a frown appearing on his face when he finally puts a face to the name. He had been the one to run away from him at the soiree, right?

When they finally get to the tent and enter, Sam has to force himself not to make a noise of shock at what he sees. Dear Maker, had he gotten in a fight with a bear? He doesn't say it out loud, it wasn't professional, but he's certainly thinking it. "What in the world happened?" he asks to anyone who would answer, pushing past Alayre to get a better view of Cade. "Are you able to talk?" he asks Cade this time.

"Merrick happened." Alayre gruffly explains with something akin to a scowl upon his face.

"The elf beaten him black and blue by the time I arrived. Nerva lingered behind with some other." He gives Sam the lead in this since he doesn't know where to begin with Cade. The blond honestly looks like his eyes have been swollen shut. Alayre truly does fear that Cade will go blind unless Sam manages to reverse the damage through magic.

"He can mutter a few words if anything." He answers on Cade's behalf.

Merrick? How come situations like this always led to Merrick? He liked the elf just fine, but this wasn't okay, even if Sam had an idea on the 'why'. He's not about to go into that right now though, not with Cade looking the way he is.

With how badly Cade is beaten up, Sam is a bit surprised by the lack of groaning, whining or anything of the like, and he's not sure if it's just because Cade is handling it very well or if there is something else seriously wrong. It was all pretty bad, hard to pick just one place to start, but the bruises around his neck are the most concerning.

"Cade, I'm going to put my hand against your throat and eyes alright?" Last thing he needs is the man thralling in panic, mostly for his own safety. Slowly, tentatively, Sam sets one hand over his left eye and one along the front of Cade's throat, touching but not pressing. Between where his hands are touching a soft green light emerges, feeling out the extent of the damage first.

The reason behind this assault should be apparent enough that Alayre doesn't have to speak. This whole sordid affair began with that unfortunate incident between Cade and Beleth a few weeks back. He figured sooner or later that something of this nature would happen considering the number of elves they have lurking about, especially those hailing from Beleth's clan. However, Alayre didn't think that something like this would happen during the ball. That is something he didn't and couldn't have foreseen cause if he had, Alayre would've kept a better eye on Cade.

"You can reverse the damage done but the scars may linger." He whispers. Alayre is worried that Cade will retreat more into himself after surviving this beating. If that happens, then he doubts that Cade will ever heal mentally.

It probably didn't help at all that Cade had run from the hall because he had shown up and shouted in amazement. If he hadn't run and instead stayed in the soiree... it's happened though and his thoughts need to be on healing.

"Hm," he hums in agreement to Alayre's muttered words. He can heal these wounds, but the other ones would need a whole different kind of healing. Noting the flinches and the shaking, Sam turns to look at Alayre for a moment while keeping his hands where they were. "Alayre can you grab a healing potion from the chest over there?" He nods his head in the direction of the chest a few feet away. It was possible for him to get up and do it, but while he had the extra hand he'd rather continue the healing then break it off. Even if he feels that he can heal each of the injuries, he would feel better to know that some of the pain was being relieved and the minor ones being dealt with as he extended more energy towards the more serious of ones.

Once Sam has felt out the extent of Cade's injuries he moves both of his hands to focus on the man's neck first. There was a decent amount of swelling there, and honestly this whole process would be easier if Cade could swallow more easily and didn't have as tough a time in breathing. They were going to be here a while.
