How about you?

[Katniss sighed, leaning against a tree.] Not sure I want to, either. This is a mess, a real mess, and for more than one reason.

( Politics with the Charmings, the true source of her learning. )
What's your take on it? I'm... I have to admit I'm struggling with the whole elf-human politics. And the elf-elf politics and the human-human politics... ( Her smile is apologetic. ) There should be rifter friendly sheet cheats, or something.
( Which is a joke, because nothing could ever be summed up that simply, probably. )

[Her lips twitch up at the corners, before she frowns slightly.]
Well, you have to know ... I'm elf-blooded - my father was human, my mother was Dalish. And since my mother swanned off with her clan -- I'm not exactly fond of the Dalish as a whole. I've learned, though, that there are individuals who make up for the lot.
[See Pel. See Cyril. See Merrick. See Gavin. See Ellana. See Sina.]
However, the humans killed a sacred animal - a halla. And halla are more than just animals ... they have a deep connection with the elvhen, and they share their thoughts with their handlers. It's like the relationship between a Fereldan and their Mabari. I can understand why the elves are angry - it would be like killing someone's best friend out of ignorance.
[She held out her hand.]
On the other side of things ... the humans here don't have anything for trade. Not meat, not leather, not potions. They're forced to travel long distances for the simpliest of supplies. It's certainly not fair to keep them out of the forest completely for what seems to be simple cultural ignorance.
[She folded her arms across her chest.]
In the end ... I heard Beleth talking to the Keeper, and I agree with her. The clan should move, to where it is less hostile. I don't know if they can share the land, and I don't think it will hold ...but we can't babysit them here. Everyone would be safer if they left. On both sides.
