Welcome to the Great Building Project of 9:42, Dragon! So you've come to help construct some living structures and barracks? Excellent, there are several areas in which everyone's help is needed.

Clearing

The Mage Council themselves have dedicated themselves to clearing out the valley, and flattening it as well, so buildings can be constructed. They'll need all the magical help they can get, honestly, and even that will include people to help clear away the wood to be used for building, as well as the stone and other materials. It will be a lot of heavy lifting, carrying, or being able to drive a cart.

Building

Of course there is the building. Holding up walls, hammer and nails, thatch on the roofs, cutting out awkward window where necessary. Putting together fireplaces and firepits. The deft of hand and light of feet are the ones who can climb the roofs, move around without any problems to haul up sod and other things to plug the holes on the roof to make for a snug small hut, or a long and clean barrack hall.

Healing

And of course, there are accidents. Someone accidentally hammers their own hand, falls off a roof, gets a splinter in their finger. The healers themselves are going to need fresh water and herbs brought in, as well as food brought to keep them going.

Fetching/Carrying

Messages need to be brought back and forth between the builders. Water needs to be brought to the thirsty, as well as food. There are a million little things that need to be done to complete this great endeavor, so feel free to help out whatever little way you feel you can.

Katniss

Katniss is everywhere.

There's not a place you won't see the slender young woman, dark hair pulled back in a braid that is coming out in wisps. Dirt smudges her face and hands, but there's a faint smile on her face and no matter what she's doing, she's humming softly. At her heel is the wolf pup, who trots along beside her faithfully, and stands guard while Katniss is up atop a roof, hammering.

She's carrying water to give to people who are building, as well as food. Lifting bundles of stick and rock out of the way, or walking with a builder, murmuring softly over the plans.

Need to talk to her? Just snag her. She'll be glad to stop and talk to anyone who is helping out here.

Cyril doesn't mind being examined by James at all, he even grins and gives a little pose for him. Then he chuckles and gets some of the water to pass to James.

Now that little pose actually gets an appreciative whistle from a few of the Templars behind him, and James does in fact give him another once over, just for the hell of it.

He takes the water, swallows, and sighs with relief before he goes to pour some over his head. "Maker bless you, Cyril. It's roasting out here -- come on, people. It's safe and cool besides."

The other Templars surged forward to grab some water in kind.

Cyril is more than happy to help as many of them with the water as he can, even flirts with a few of them as they do.

When they've given him some space, he considers James. "When do you think we'll be able to drink water without second guessing it again?"

James looks pensive at that, before he takes another drink. "Well, depending on the reputations of myself, Cade, Alejandro, Lara, and Bellamy ... it could be later this month, it could be a few months. I hope people believe my word, but I can understand their wariness."

[samahl]

Cyril's lips press together at the mention of Cade, but he's completely avoids saying anything about the man. "I would think so. We still have to use the water, it is vital after all."

The reputation of Cade, alas, is probably going to be the major sticking point for most of the elves here, especially the Dalish.

"It absolutely is - so the more people see others drinking it, the more it is going to fade into the history of this place. Where it belongs."

[samahl]

Cyril gives James a small smile. "Interesting turn of phrase there, 'fade into.'" Now he's just giving James a bit of a hard time.

[judgemewhole]

"Yes, well, as one who wasn't forced to look into it ... I suppose I can say it with no irony whatsoever." He smirks at Cyril, arching an eyebrow. He sees what you're doing there.

[samahl]

"How did you manage that?" he asks. "Unless you just didn't bathe the entire time?" Still teasing.

[judgemewhole]

"Honestly, it was raining so much, I just stepped outside and washed off the dirt and grime that way." James shrugged, one corner of his mouth twisting. "With everyone being sick, there was no one on the ramparts to see me wandering about with a bar of soap."

[samahl]

"Well, suddenly I'm depressed that I missed that," Cyril teased a bit. He's only lightly flirting, that isn't as weird as it could be, right?

[judgemewhole]

Only a little weird, but James is smirking despite all that. "You flatter me, Cyril, as always."

[samahl]

"I try, at least," he responds, offering James a small smile. "You're worth flattering."

[judgemewhole]

"And you are worth flattering in turn." He dips his head in a bow, "Most charming water bearer I have ever seen."

[samahl]

Cyril grins at the compliment. "I should let you get back to work, shouldn't I?" he asks, though he seems to prefer the idea of standing around and flirting all day.

[judgemewhole]

"You should ... but we'll speak again soon, I hope?" James crooks a grin at him. "Friends usually do."

[samahl]

"Yes we do," he picks up the bucket he's lugging around. "Have a good day, James." And with that he leaves James and his men, though he does manages to make a cute kissy face at some of the ones who made the most ruckus.
