They've kept to the same clearing as the last, because the location's good. Far enough away that no one could stumble upon them by accident, near enough in case something went seriously wrong, it works.

He has scarcely more hope this time than he did the last, but at least there's no singing involved. This can't go as strangely. In theory.

[Well even if Anders didn't have control over his words, Bruce can't help but be affected by them nonetheless - if it had been anybody else he could have taken it with more grace, but Anders is... well. It's different with him.]

[He knows what the end of this is if they don't figure out a way to reverse being an abomination. Either he is consumed entirely, or Justice kills someone they can't get away with killing. Anders wants neither of those to come to pass.]

[Well its not like Anders is wrong about the fact that Bruce has no friends - and it still remains true even until now. How can he let anybody close at all when he's such a danger--when he's a monster? He can't believe that Anders can even risk that in the first place. Monsters like them--they don't deserve any of that.]

[He doesn't deserve it. He doesn't deserve any of the kindness shown him, or Nate, or anything, but what's he supposed to do? Hurt people who are kind? He's horribly lonely without people.]

[If it were up to Bruce he'd have pushed away any display of kindness anybody would show him. Because they don't know and they won't ever know and lying to them by omission is no better than anything else, even if Bruce is well aware that he's doing the same right now. But its not as if he ever called himself a good person. He's never been 'good'.

But either way, there's no use talking to Anders anyway, for the man is too wrapped up in his own beliefs to see anything else. Bruce just lets out a quiet grunt and glances away, moving off to get the supplies he had come for and goes to take his leave just as quickly.]
