THE AMBASSADOR'S OFFICE

In a way, very little has changed since Josephine first joined the Inquisition. She spends most of her days in her office, poring over the organisation's correspondence, doing her small part in influencing the world.

Yet, everything has changed, also, and those close to the Ambassador, or just particularly observant, might notice that her work and lack of sleep have been weighing even more heavily on her of late. Although she wears it in the bags of her eyes and the slight slump of her shoulders, Josephine does not allow her exhaustion to reach her smile.

Anyone who enters the office, for any reason at all, will be met with a graceful tilt of the head and a question along the lines of, "What can I do for you today?"


ON THE BATTLEMENTS

Even on her best days, Josephine is not superhuman. Sometimes, she simply needs fresh air to clear her thoughts. Fortunately, the crisp air of the Frostbacks more than suffices when it comes to delivering the clarity she seeks. She will never tire of the view that Skyhold affords her, and she finds herself exhaling heavily -- a weighted sigh. Oh, but how she treasures these moments alone.

Feel free to envision some other scenario where Josephine may be encountered! She is especially likely to be drawn to situations where anything out of the ordinary is happening, or if your character looks like they could use a good chat, tbh.

Alone might be Josie's preference, and yet here Leliana is regardless. Even for her dearest friends she has little consideration of their preferences, citing necessity and effectiveness above it.

This time the interruption has little to do with Leliana's contrariness or Josephine's safety, and everything to do with communication. One moment there is no one atop the battlements save for Josie, and the next Leliana is stepping forward from shadows that surely were not dark enough to conceal a person and clearing her throat.

"Josie."

Elsewhere ... Early in Bloomingtide

"... What in the name of the Maker are all these things?!"

Comes the angry, and completely baffled voice of one Knight Commander, as he stares at a wagon of what looks to be boxes and boxes of Orlesian delicacies and varying bottles of all kinds of liquor, along with a few chests of some truly ridiculous looking clothing, and a half a dozen portraits.

The Orlesian courier sounds bored, "These are your courting gifts, messere. From different noble ladies and gentleman of the Orlesian Court."

James gaped at the cart, and then back at the masked courier, "But - I - what?? Why?!"

"It has been brought to the attention of the Imperial Court that you are a man of means and considerable reputation - not to mention marriagable age. Many ... mothers and fathers of the court wish to get their bids in early. Others are look for more, ah, delicate relations. Oh, yes, and there is correspondence as well for varying dowries - "

A chest now lands in James's arms, and he is looking at it like it is about to explode in his arms.
