"They are clever but lazy. I expect more of people." Replacing words with other words is no small feat- but all the same? Anders can do better. Most people can. "I would expect it of, say, Alistair."

Of whom her low opinion is well known.

"So 'two templars walk into a bar. The apostate got away that day' is more funny than tucking wood into the place of would? I'd also like to know if giving you a new nickname is lazy or clever and funny, because I've been considering one."

Part of this is simply for the sake of giving her a hard time, but there's a little genuine curiosity too.
fleurdesel: left, smile, smirk, sarcastic (I'm sorry)

"That depends entirely upon the nickname." Her weight on him- this is slightly less awful than attempting to traverse the slope on her own. Even if she would rather her leg not been broken, no one died. She'll take that.

No comment on his joke, but he's not that surprised. It had been a weak one. Apparently he's going to need to do some work getting jokes she'll find good. And he's going to need to get better at random spikes of sentiment, because she's leaning on him, trusting him to help her, and he's about to offer something that could make him a little vulnerable.

"Honig." Despite his attempt to make it sound neutral, there's colors of more as he says the word. Tentative affection, for one.
