1. Now-early part of the month

[It’s the first that Kain is finally stable enough to be awake for any long stretch of time. He’d really taken a beating out there… encouraged it even it some point, since the more hits he took meant the stronger his attacks would be. He's still getting used to his new powers, admittedly. It turns out that being a Reaver comes with quite a cost in the aftermath. He’s suffered some nasty chest wounds, broken ribs, a punctured lung, a bad shoulder wound, some burns… among other injuries. To make matters worse, infection had set in not too long after he’d arrived, complicating matters.]

[He groans, trying to move and finding that more than a little excruciating. Then he realizes someone is approaching.]

2. Later on into the month

I’m just going out to get some fresh air.

[Is this an escape attempt? Or is he just doing as he claims and getting himself outside for a change? Who can say for sure? Regardless of anything, Kain is supremely unsteady as he hauls himself up and starts slowly but steadily making his way toward the exit of the tent. Now he's healed enough he can be a bad patient.]

[He's almost there… he’s gonna make it...]

[He continues gulping it down until it's all gone. Ahhh. He hands the flask back with a satisfied sigh. Already he can feel it hitting him, and he's glad for once to be lying down rather than up where he'd surely fall over.]

That'sssss sogood. [Even his words are already slurring. He manages a semi-amused expression for a moment.] Don't worry about Bastard. He's a good bird, pain in the ass though he is. One of my best friends. I'll... be better... before you know it... Have to be, so I can do it all over again, ha...

[It gives him more power, after all, to be in pain. Too bad it's awful after the battles are done.]

[The slurring gets some fond amusement, as Korrin's relieved it's working so fast already.]

Yeah, yeah, you do that. For now, pass out and dream of wind demon tits or whatever.

[Kain closes his eyes at least, sighing in relief.] Ah... this 'sgood stuff... Korrin, you're the best...
