There aren't any formalities here. The Calling has taken another Grey Warden, but for once he was known to more than Wardens and mourned by more than them too. The music is lively to start with, mostly because Herc probably would have grumped if it had all been sad and there's a tab at the bar open to anyone worthy. Granted, one has to manage to be polite to all the Grey Wardens for the duration of the wake to be deemed worthy, but that's not too hard, is it?

Hit up the bar, share a story, complain about how he owed you money, and remember someone who deserves it.

She smiles a little bit at the thought, "That we do."

A soft sigh, and a nod, "Those who go through the Joining still might die, you're right about that. Leaving the question ever after - if we told them what could happen, would they join anyways?"

"They might, I suppose. If they knew they might return to their families eventually. If they knew that Grey Wardens can retire."

She looked over at him, her brown eyes serious, "Then I suppose I'd best work on finding a cure then, hm?"

He gives her a long look, and decides she must mean it. She is a Hawke, after all. And she is Bethany. She didn't choose this life. Neither did Nathaniel.

He gives her a solemn nod.

"I'll help however I can. Just say the word."

She exhaled slowly, before she looked away for a moment. "I am going to need all the help I can get. What I'll need from you is information, though, after you've fully healed."

One eyebrow raised at him. "We can't go cleansing you of the Blight just to have you fall over from your wounds."

"The Architect might have information. I have...something personal to attend to, before I can track him down. Though...you might try asking Velanna. She is more likely to know something of his whereabouts."

She looks thoughtful, "I'll do both, if I can beg the favor of you. No reason I shouldn't cover all the bases. After all, this isn't going to be a drop in the bucket sort of thing."
