Sina doesn't press the subject, and Beleth doesn't bother to extrapolate. What's the use, anyway? It's just one more failure to measure up, on top of a pile of them. Even standards set by the Inquisition weren't within her reach.

"I agree, we definitely need to ask, first. I'm not even sure if the clans will agree, but, ah..." She hesitates, eyes flashing around them in a way that Sina probably figured out by now indicated that she was about to start talking shit about the shemlen. "Well, I wasn't sure how else we'd even get the Inquisition to help, without making it sound like they'd get something out of it. I sincerely doubt they'll give random Dalish clans sending crystals, just out of generosity. I mean--they'll be looking at the politics of it, not the morals." Beleth might be just a teensy bit bitter about how elves have been handled in the past. "And you know there's a good chance that if people found out the Inquisition has been helping the Dalish connect again, they'll raise a fuss. The Inquisition has to get something out of that deal." Her lips twist, just slightly.

"But--if you have any ideas, I'd like to hear them." This part, at least, was genuine, Beleth turning to Sina with a curious look. She was a First, after all--if anyone could think of incentives, it'd be her.
