It's not publicized, but word has a habit of getting out.

Zevran has publicized matters, and now it's time for some morale boosting. There's a low tightrope stretched between two trees with a great many chairs, stumps, and logs set up as seating options. Today is the day for someone to earn himself new boots, shirts, and a shield, and it promises to be a show.

Come on up, pull up a seat, and enjoy the entertainment.

"Concerned. Because you do not eat enough." Which he should, but that is not for Zevran to insist upon. What is for him to insist upon is untangling Lucci's hands from his hair as he offers him, gently, to Anders. "Drop him and die, etc, etc."

The usual threat that is more or less a joke by now.

He gives Zevran a sheepish look for a moment, but then it's gone. Lucci is being offered out, and Anders takes him with his regular care.

"Hello, little one. You look well. Someone is looking after you, aren't they." It's nice when parents (or a parent, as the case may be) have the time and means to look after their child. He holds Lucci close as the baby babbles and finds a convenient feather to tug on. Anders doesn't protest or try to pry it loose, all he'll do is make sure it doesn't go in the mouth should Lucci tear it free.

"I was wondering if you might be willing and able to spare Teresa in a couple of days here. Provided she's interested as well, of course. I want to host a conference of sorts, mages teaching other mages spells they could use for survival or lives of their own, open to non-mages as well."

"Mmm. I will have to ask her if it holds her interest. I am their master in most ways- but how they spend their time aside from when we are training and working? Is theirs to choose. Or at least I am attempting to make that plain. Teresa is...learning that, I think." Little by little.

Baby steps, if you would.

"I will offer her the invitation and let her get back to you with her choice, yes?"

"Thank you." And that's the key thing, choice. Zevran is her boss, but she can make the decisions and he doesn't own her.

Lucci gurgles and Anders bounces him gently, beaming down. "And you've got your own lessons, I'm certain. Do you know what noise the Doghren makes? Oghren goes 'uuuuuugh, my head,' but Doghren goes 'bark.'"

As long as it is not 'the cow goes moo', Zevran sees no harm in allowing Lucci a moment to growl, think, and then yip like the puppy.

What a clever boy he has. This will not at all get old. "Things that do and do not go in his mouth is something he has sorted out quite well."

Sometimes he's absolutely jealous of Zevran. And then he remembers how his life isn't suitable for a child, how he's a Grey Warden now and had been an abomination before, and remembers there's no point in the jealousy. At least he gets to play with the little one and that will be enough.

"That's good to hear. Sometimes those lessons can get a little uncomfortable. And he seems to be growing fine in every other way too." Anders holds a finger in front of Lucci and gets it grabbed and tugged on with a good grip, as good as the other hand tangling in his hair. "He's healthy and happy and adorable. And now you know where he can learn how to walk on a tightrope with good grace."
