The meeting had been stressful for just about everyone involved. Tempers had flared, opinions made known, a few rounds of confetti and arguing before some manner of accord. Whether it would last or however long it might? No one could truly say. In the interest of being quite done with the stress and headaches such debate brought on the Orlesian healing tents clearing out the potions, bandages, and poultices in favor of what cushions and braziers they had on hand for light and for heat. The space was open, warm, and inviting with an odd assortment of tin mugs or clay glasses set around flat side tables propped up with stones to keep them from wobbling and tipping the whole mass onto the ground. There are some dried fruits and hard cheeses, dried meat and hard crusted bread- whatever scraps they could scavenge or spare and a few bottles of wine or brandy. Across the entrance to the tents there was a sign:
Bring a bottle or food to share for entry.
Tacked below was a list of rules:
- Everyone is welcome, don't make a fuss
- Don't hog the wine
- Don't hog the food
- Don't fight or argue
- If you finish a bottle open a new one, don't recork it for someone else to find
- Clean up after yourselves

They do not get many sweets, her apprentices, what few they have they pass along to the youngest more often than not. Now and then, though, she can steal a little for her other students. The thought of a little more of this wine, though, is thoroughly enticing. Then tea. She can be a little less responsible for one evening. "Mmm...well. If you do not mind it more of the mulled red would be lovely. It has been a red sort of day."

Hearing LeBlanc cave into having more wine has his shoulders shaking in quiet mirth - finally doing a bit more for herself. "I don't mind, but it might take me a bit longer to figure out the difference between mulled red wine and all the others," he says teasingly, but he's being honest about that. He doesn't know wine. He'll just have to ask someone else while he's up.

"You are good, Sam. In a way that I had thought few to be...I'm glad to have you as a student." Such a nice young man, is Sam. Kind, hard working, opinionated. Krem is doing fairly well by caring for him. It's comforting to know the world is not so empty of those with virtue- almost enough to restore a measure of shattered faith.
"The mulled wine will be warmed by the fire and smell of cinnamon and clove rather than of grape. If you still can't tell hold the bottle up to the light and look at the bottom, the spices should be settled there. If there aren't any? It is but a simple red." He's Ferelden, it's no fault of his that he doesn't understand wine. If anything it's something she expects of him and his countrymen.

At hearing how to differentiate between the wines he nods and gets up. "Well that makes it much easier to figure out then." That certainly sounds better then the other wines he's heard about, but perhaps another day he'll try it out. "I'll be right back then."

Is she smirking? She's smirking. Just a little. "He's somewhere near the entrance, I think."
no subject
"What?" Maybe playing dumb about it? Nope. She's smirking and then mentioning where he can find this so called person. His cheeks might be a bit redder now and it wasn't from compliments. "Oh, so he did show up?" Crap, now he sounded like he had been looking. Which he hadn't been!

Like it is nothing. Like there is no ulterior motive whatsoever to be had in nudging them together.
