The meeting had been stressful for just about everyone involved. Tempers had flared, opinions made known, a few rounds of confetti and arguing before some manner of accord. Whether it would last or however long it might? No one could truly say. In the interest of being quite done with the stress and headaches such debate brought on the Orlesian healing tents clearing out the potions, bandages, and poultices in favor of what cushions and braziers they had on hand for light and for heat. The space was open, warm, and inviting with an odd assortment of tin mugs or clay glasses set around flat side tables propped up with stones to keep them from wobbling and tipping the whole mass onto the ground. There are some dried fruits and hard cheeses, dried meat and hard crusted bread- whatever scraps they could scavenge or spare and a few bottles of wine or brandy. Across the entrance to the tents there was a sign:
Bring a bottle or food to share for entry.
Tacked below was a list of rules:
- Everyone is welcome, don't make a fuss
- Don't hog the wine
- Don't hog the food
- Don't fight or argue
- If you finish a bottle open a new one, don't recork it for someone else to find
- Clean up after yourselves

She had been quite fond of the Honey Mead Brandy or whatever they'd called it in the Herald's Rest. So she brought a few of the bottles after promising Cabot that she'd help him with tidying and washing dishes. That would be a long week, but well worth any contacts she might make here tonight. Overall, even with the strife and discontent it was at least movement in the right direction for mages to be able to govern themselves.
Which she was fully on board for. Her entrance was quiet but slightly awkward while she looked around to see where she should sit. In the end she gave a soft, anxious sigh and chose a spot, getting comfortable-- that was the point of this, right? Comfort.
"Believe me, I don't plan on drinking all of these by myself. Someone help me?" it was an open offer to no one in particular.

He came closer and gave her a friendly smile. "Aneth ara, Merrill. Did you go to the meeting?" If she had, he'd be curious to see her take on things. If not, he'd be happy to share what he had heard from Pel, Sam, and other mages.

"I did, it's so unusual to have so many mages all gathered in one place talking about these things so openly. Especially with so many humans. There's so much to take in I felt a little overwhelmed." but it was nice that there was so much variety. She wouldn't have thought that before she'd lived among humans but the discord also brought about more opportunities.
"Your First has such a strong personality, I'm a little jealous."

Of course, Isabela already had one cup in her hand. She glanced over the amount in front of her elven friend.
"How did you end up with that many drinks, anyway?"
