| Clan Ashara currently resides in a small valley nestled into the mountains, that seems idyllic for a Dalish clan. A stream runs through the valley, descending into a waterfall with the steep cliffs on one side, and sheer mountain walls going straight up on two other sides. The only way in and out is through a gap big enough to lead several aravels through. It's a defensible position, safe from any threats. Except the fade rift that has opened up just a little ways from the gap. The hunters can handle the demons spewing from it well enough, and there are always a couple stationed there to pick off whatever appears. But it's too dangerous to lead the aravels and noncombatants through, and thus, they are forced to wait. To compound the issue, there's a village close to where they're currently staying, and while both sides have kept to themselves, neither are pleased with the current situation. They've helped get a message to the Inquisition in hopes that someone will come take care of the problem, and now both are tensely waiting for something to happen to change the situation, for better or worse. And so the members of Clan Ashara, with their friends in tow, return back to their clan. |

Hunter Kali
Since they left, she's come more into her own as a Hunter. She's one of the Clan who stays by the Rift to fight the demons, but she comes back into the camp to sleep and catch up with her brothers and friends. She can be found either of those two places.

"Ah... it's Kali, isn't it? Cyril's told me about you..."

"Welcome. It's good to see that the Inquisition has more elves than just my Clanmates."

"Really?" she says, and she smiles at the idea. It brightens her face and makes her look even younger than she is. "And a healer you say? That's useful. Those demons have been giving us all a hard time when we have to fight them off. Hopefully you won't have to be too busy, but it's reassuring to know that you're here. Thank you."

She blushes.
"It's really no trouble. I wanted to come anyway, rift or no. Just... the opportunity to spend time really celebrating my father's heritage... It's... important to me."
no subject
"Your father was Dalish?" she asks, piquing her interest. "Do you know what Clan?"
no subject
"I don't. And I wish I did. I know only very little about my father. My mother didn't know him for very long, and I was a surprise keepsake. Whoever he is, I'm pretty sure he has no idea I exist."
Her lips twist briefly into a thoughtful moue.
"But I know his name is Theron. He's a hunter. I think he is a kind man, one who cared enough to try and share his culture with my mother, instead of just tolerating her as a flat-ear. Perhaps he was close with his Keeper or a hahren, I don't know. ...my mother believes it's because of him that I have the abilities I do as a healer."
