Player Plot: I will call you home

Clan Ashara currently resides in a small valley nestled into the mountains, that seems idyllic for a Dalish clan. A stream runs through the valley, descending into a waterfall with the steep cliffs on one side, and sheer mountain walls going straight up on two other sides. The only way in and out is through a gap big enough to lead several aravels through. It's a defensible position, safe from any threats. Except the fade rift that has opened up just a little ways from the gap. The hunters can handle the demons spewing from it well enough, and there are always a couple stationed there to pick off whatever appears. But it's too dangerous to lead the aravels and noncombatants through, and thus, they are forced to wait. To compound the issue, there's a village close to where they're currently staying, and while both sides have kept to themselves, neither are pleased with the current situation. They've helped get a message to the Inquisition in hopes that someone will come take care of the problem, and now both are tensely waiting for something to happen to change the situation, for better or worse. And so the members of Clan Ashara, with their friends in tow, return back to their clan.

"Well, I'd think, all things considered." Cyril presses his lips together and then glances towards where Sam is. "I think bringing Sam was a bad idea." He hasn't admitted this aloud to anyone, and it's strange to finally say it. "At least Taas was away so I couldn't impulsively invite him too." Though, of course, Merrick had brought Metaari so maybe having more that one qunari would have been better.

"Oh, I don't know." She turns to look over at Sam as well, rubbing her chin. "I mean--He's a pretty decent guy, he shouldn't have too much trouble. I can't really talk, anyway. I mean, I brought Alistair--" There's a pause, and then she clears her throat. "Though...the circumstances for that are different, I think. But--Well. I'm sure they'll all do just fine. Taas would too, if he were here."

Cyril pressed his lips together. He is not sure if choosing to settle down a bit with only two men is any better than sleeping with every single one he can. After all, that will cause more heartache when it has to end. He doesn't say that, though, not wanting to unpile on her.

"You brought one of the Wardens who ended the Blight. At least that's impressive."

Well, Beleth is sure which one is better, Cyril, and she's sure that her opinion is Right, so there's always that. But he doesn't unpile on her, so Beleth can't enlighten him as to the Real and True way of doing things.

Instead, she gives a small laugh, ducking her head. "He is pretty impressive, isn't he? Even if he tries really hard not to be. Don't tell him I said that, though, or he'll try even harder, just to be contrary." She glanced back towards camp, a fond smile on her face. "I figured, if there's a human that has a chance of being approved of by the Keeper, surely it's him."

"I think you're right," Cyril points out. "Even the Dalish owe the Wardens a great deal, no matter how we like to pretend we can do everything ourselves. We can't stop Blights."
