Clan Ashara currently resides in a small valley nestled into the mountains, that seems idyllic for a Dalish clan. A stream runs through the valley, descending into a waterfall with the steep cliffs on one side, and sheer mountain walls going straight up on two other sides. The only way in and out is through a gap big enough to lead several aravels through. It's a defensible position, safe from any threats.

Except the fade rift that has opened up just a little ways from the gap.

The hunters can handle the demons spewing from it well enough, and there are always a couple stationed there to pick off whatever appears. But it's too dangerous to lead the aravels and noncombatants through, and thus, they are forced to wait.

To compound the issue, there's a village close to where they're currently staying, and while both sides have kept to themselves, neither are pleased with the current situation. They've helped get a message to the Inquisition in hopes that someone will come take care of the problem, and now both are tensely waiting for something to happen to change the situation, for better or worse.

And so the members of Clan Ashara, with their friends in tow, return back to their clan.

Isen looked mildly suspicious-- he'd believe all that when he saw it-- but he was easily swayed from that point of conversation to another. "No, and doubtful there'll be anymore," he replied, but not unhappily. "Mamae's past that point, I think. But the others are chomping at the bit, if you will. They near went mad with jealousy when they found out I'd be coming here." The clan was insular, which meant mostly the same family, which meant no babies unless they either turned to some real unpleasantness or found others.
"Ashara seems nice enough," he observed, "I wonder how they'd feel about a big litter of gingers converging on their eligible unbonded?" A crooked smile.

Nari laugh-snorted, eyes alight with mirth. "Red hair, as far as the eye can see," she intoned, reaching her hand out as if to illustrate a great field on the horizon. "Ashara's a good bunch--all that I've met, at least. Some I'd be happy to see paired up with one of ours. And there's no Clan I've heard of these days that wouldn't want more members, even if they all turn out like you." She dropped into a cheeky mock-fighting stance briefly, then stood again with an affectionate--and slightly conspiratorial--grin.

"You got here a bit ago, right? Met any reasons to legitimize their jealousy?"

It was so good to hear her laugh again-- Isen couldn't help but grin broadly back. He fell back into a mock-fighting stance to mimic Nari's, and feinted a noogie attack, but he let her go at the last moment instead.
"Not yet," he says, "but I've noticed our Siuona talking with their handsome First. Perhaps we'll have mage babies soon enough."
