Seeing the bridge to Skyhold was such a huge relief that neither qunari had expected, and the accompanying group of scouts seemed just as eager to get back. Mounts were spurred a bit more, hurrying over the last stretch before they all stopped in the courtyard.
Taas slid off his horse and brushed back his brown hair from his face. It was a bit messy and not put up in the usual array of braids - and he had a need of a razor, of the beginning of a scruffy beard was anything to go by. He's wearing his usual leather and armor, although his chest is covered by a shirt for once.
He doesn't look worse for wear, aside from his nose being extra crooked. (He might need to get that fixed later.)
Giving the mount a pat on the neck, he leaves it with a stablehand and takes a look at the state of Skyhold. At least it was in once piece... and hopefully the tavern was as well.

Kas isn't as graceful in his dismounting, but the teen does seem a little less horrible at riding than he used to be. Rubbing his butt a bit, he sighs and scratches his head slightly before looking around. The scout uniform is a little ripped in places and the bow he got from Metaari is missing, but he's unharmed and even seems to have gained a bit of weight. It makes him appear a little bit less like a scrawny child and rather the young man he really is, so it's a good look for him.
Maker bless Orlaisian tiny cakes and hard work.
There's even a little smile on his lips as he looks around, eager to see Korrin, friends and maybe even meet new people.

"Eventful. But we've all survived. I'm glad you have, as well--" Then she pauses, frowns, and reaches up to gently brush her fingers against his nose. "What happened? You should get a healer, I can find one for you, if you'd like."

He's relieved to hear that things were at least going better here - not dying was always a plus. Her mention of his crooked nose makes him reach up to touch it gingerly, and the warrior shakes his head. "It's fine. I'll have it checked later, though. Apparently it makes me snore."

"Don't wait too long, or they'll have to rebreak it." She reaches up to touch her own nose, right where it now jutted to one side slightly. She had decided it wasn't worth it, when they asked, and she certainly wouldn't blame Taas if he didn't think it was either. "But I mean--it's not too bad, as long as it isn't hurting you. It adds character." She pauses thoughtfully. "Admittedly, I don't have to deal with the snoring, but. Just be careful, I suppose." She shrugs.
"Other than that--how was your mission?"
no subject
"They'll have to, it's been two months." He smiles a little, looking at the slight crook she had. Was that from the guy who had hurt her? It makes him frown a little bit, but he keeps it light as she continues. That fact she says that it adds characters makes even makes him chuckle a little bit.
Protective warrior instincts distracted.
"I'll be good, I promise. I just need to be able to breathe right." He did a lot of heavy breathing, after all - be it in bed or the battlefield.
"The mission was... eventful. We were accused of murder and went to jail."

She's glad that she's managed to distract him from that frown, however. Him going after Cade...that would be bad. For everyone. But when he goes on to say that he got arrested--"Why would they do that? Did you--um. Did you kill anyone? You should have tried to send word, or something. I got people out of jail before, I'm sure I could've done something. Or the Inquisition."
She frowns, hands on her hips. "I can't believe that. If I'd known--Ugh."
