[You're just trying to get brownie points here weren't you, James? Scratching behind his ears and calling him handsome?

The comment still gets a grunt out of him, shaking his head that makes the skin feel like it's rolling with the movement. After this journey he was certainly going to need a break, both physically and mentally for keeping the form for so long.]

If Sam needed a break, he merely had to say so. Kirk was grateful that Sam was letting him do this, enjoy such a novel moment, but he didn't want to put the other through more than he was willing to handle. He squeezed with his thighs and leaned forward, planting a kiss on the back of his bear-neck. ]</sub>

[The question has Sam looking over his shoulder with a grunt. Couldn't really talk as an animal, Kirk. Course he can stop and sit down to show that he does want to stop. Which he does, though slowly so that his passenger doesn't fall off.]

_{[ Kirk got the hint, carefully working himself off Sam. He scratched behind his ear one last time and gave him a smile. ]}

Thank you, Sam. I'll go get your mount so you can ride for awhile.

_{[ He went back to the animals to retrieve Sam's mount as he had promised. ]}

[Returning to his form with a poof of dark smoke, Sam hums lightly as he stretches himself out. Once Kirk comes back, horses in hand, he gives the other man a smile.]

Think next time a shorter walk. Such a large animal is a bit taxing on my mana.

_{[ He moved to stand beside the horse and cupped his hands to help Sam get up into the saddle. ]}

Do you need anything? I have some food back in my packs.

[Normally he wouldn't need help getting up onto the saddle, but with feeling a little sore still he takes the help gladly. Once settled he grabs the reins and looks to Kirk.]

Do you have a water skin on you?

What is this, my first rodeo?

_{[ He heads back to his own mount, throwing his leg up and bringing the large dapple up beside Sam. He held out his canteen, one of three he had brought just in case. ]}

You asked if I needed anything. [He chuckles lightly, watching as Kirk goes back to retrieve his own horse before joining back up with him.

He takes the water graciously, wondering where his own water skin had gone off to.]

Did you enjoy yourself?

He smiled at Sam, bringing his horse close enough that they could bump knees. ]</sub>

[He takes a moment to drink before he turns and raises a brow at Kirk, smirking just a bit.]

You're going to turn into a large bear and let me ride you?

_{[ Kirk laughed, throwing his head back slightly before turning a smirk of his own on his lover. ]}

You'll have to give me time to grow out all the hair.

[That earns Kirk a once over and a raised brow before he takes a long draw from the water skin.]

Sounds like I'll be a waiting a long time. Probably faster just to wear a bear pelt.

_{[ He snorts, but can't disagree with him either. ]}

[That certainly has Sam coughing on some water he's drinking at the moment.]

[He coughs again, but then gives a sigh.]

_{[ He squints at him, as if trying to suss out where the lie is. ]}

[In all honesty he had just been teasing Kirk, not referring to anything sexual. Course now that they were there-]

_{[ Where does teasing usually lead with them, Sam? You should have seen it coming, honestly. ]}

Hmmm, I thought you would always go for some sort of sensory play, honestly. Like we did in Orelais. Or maybe something with costumes.

[Guess the bear pelt could count as a costume, but he isn't about to point that out.]

[He admits that quietly, just so Kirk can hear before taking another drink.]

[ He glances at him and smiles, glad he had enjoyed it. He reminded himself to perhaps introduce it more often into their nighttime activities. ]

Myself, personally? Oh, the sensory stuff we tried, denial, playing with food can be fun, dominating from the bottom... those sorts of things.

I don't know. It's not really a subject I know much about... so far I only know of the things you've been showing me.

Ah, it means that even though I'm the one being serviced, I'm the one instructing you. We've actually done that a bit before, when we've tried some new things, and I tell you how to do them, or I've told you to touch me somewhere. Like that.

_{[ It didn't happen to very often, but those times when he told Sam to touch him certain ways and he did could be quite powerful, hit just the right spot. ]}
