[ He makes a sound to her first statement, but says nothing to it. Better not to argue that sort of thing. ]
Hah, well, see, symbiotic.
But... if spirits are curious about this world, does that mean they weren't here originally? I thought spirits were, well, people who had previously been alive.

As for those who die, their soul passes through the Fade to the Maker's side.
[ She pauses and glances up at the circling birds again. ]
Or at least that is what Andrastians are meant to believe.

[ He absorbs that and has a number of feelings about it, but those he kept to himself. He finds the Maker religion fascinating in its own ways, but like most religions out in the Universe, he himself finds little to make him faithful in them. [ It was his turn to look back. ]
So long as you can give me that pretty smile of yours, I'll be able to endure it just fine.
[ And cue the cheesy, heroic smile. ]

[ His comment has her smiling because how can she not? Taking up his hand again, she speaks. ]
That I can do quite easily. Let us return to the group?

[ He glanced at their hands, but didn't pull away, gently curling his fingers around hers for a moment. ]
All right, all right. Wouldn't want them to think we'd flown the coop.
