Archer buddy is not having a great day. He's hit by Merrill's lightning, body convulsing with painful shocks. "B-Bree!" he calls out to his associate, who is busy snarling at Sam for getting in the way with his sword. Her dagger clips the sword and goes careening off at an angle, hitting the floor somewhere behind her.
"Little busy!" she yells back, flipping backwards and trying to level a kick at Sam's jaw as she goes. Sadly, she misses by inches, but she lands on her hands and thrusts her weight back to complete the somersault. Now with some space between them, she can search for her lost dagger.
Merrill has helped considerably by lighting the other brazier. The gas recedes from it, revealing more of the room. Maurice is lying face down next to broken bits of his mines and a decorative stone that's long and rectangular, like ancient elven coffins. But his mines have blown out the side of it to reveal no body; rather there is a large wooden box there, similar to the one Merrill and Korrin discovered earlier. As soon as the gas recedes from it, Ellana, Merrill, and perhaps Galadriel will feel a pull to go towards the box. But that's probably a desire that should be curbed since they're sort of in the middle of a battle here.
By the time Loran recovers from the lightning shock, all he can see is a large, green rock flying straight towards him. His last words on this plane are a very elegant: "Oh, shit!" before he's knocked back into a wall and his head cracks against it.
The good news? If Maurice is dead and not unconscious, there is only Bree left to fight. The bad news? She's the most skilled and bloodthirsty of all her group. But even so, six to one odds are not good, and by the time she finds her dagger, she's well aware of that. In a last-ditch effort to survive, she dives behind a broken bit of stone that had once been part of the ceiling. It's large enough that she can just crouch behind it and keep out of view. Then she lobs an Antivan Fire grenade out from her hiding spot towards her enemies before chugging a Mighty Offense Tonic. She waits, hoping the fire manages to hit someone. If not, she's ready to spring from her hiding spot and go down fighting.
