Player Plot: Sulevin Blade Quest

WHO: Ellana Ashara, Galadriel, Merrill, Korrin Ataash, James Kirk, Samouel Gareth
WHAT: Tracking down the Sulevin Blade
WHEN: January 13th/Wintermarch 13th
WHERE: the Dales
NOTES: OOC Post

[ OOC: The plot starts with the first phase below in the comments section. Everybody tag into that one. There doesn't need to be a tag order; just hop in whenever. If we go maybe two full days with no tags, I'll try to hustle things along unless I was the last tagger, of course. When we reach a point that looks good to start the next phase, I'll post it as a new comment and close the previous thread. I'm pretty sure you can go ahead a track the whole entry without a paid account, and this way it'll be less confusing if we stick to one section at a time.

At certain points, I'll leave an ooc note asking for you to roll a d20 or to make some sort of choice so I can tailor the thread to your character. If anything's confusing or you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact me via PM or a private plurk to [plurk.com profile] lavellan. :D ]

Galadriel, personally, has had precious little experience with gas. Collapsing underground rooms and chaotic battles with mild explosions, however, she knew fairly well. It takes her far too long to get her bearings once they've emptied into the room and it isn't until the braziers are lit that she is truly of any use.

The gas clears just as the rogue dives behind her cover. Hardly a moment passes before a ceramic container is lobbed from behind the fallen stonework and, truly, it is instinct alone that has Galadriel moving. Were she less effected by the gas and, indeed, less jittery on whole, she would not have risked it--

As the bottle arced down, its fuse lit and glittering, Galadriel lunged in and swung her polearm at it. By some miraculous stretch of luck, the vessel didn't break as her weapon struck it and was knocked back through the air toward the hiding rogue.

Everything was happening quickly, to quickly for his still spinning head to keep much track of. He sees flashes of light, hears screams, smells smoke and struggles to catch his breath for a bit longer. Slowly his senses are back, enough for him to wipe his face clean, to get a clearer picture of what is happening and make himself useful again.

His head clears just as Bree is stumbling about, screaming in pain as fire licks at her. Without thinking, Kirk stripping off his dusty, blood splattered jacket and rushed towards her, stumbling down beside her, slapping at the flames as he coughed and struggled to keep his own head from spinning again.

"Help me put it out!" he called over his shoulder to the others.

The explosion is enough to distract him from seeing Kirk move around past him, and when he sees the man now trying to put out the flames on Bree - least that is what she answered to from what he could hear - he blinks. Course Kirk would try saving someone who had just tried killing him.

Sighing, Sam casts a frost spell over the woman, enough to snuff out the flames, as he moves closer. After all she had just attacked them, and had aimed for Kirk not that long ago.

Mercy is all well and good, when the person it's being directed at isn't actively trying to kill them. Baffled at Kirk's actions, Korrin narrows her eyes at their enemy as Sam snuffs out the flames. When the madwoman lashes out, she quickly casts Lightning Bolt to paralyze her.

"Um."

Helping the woman hadn't exactly been on Merrill's mind, but now it's happened. There's a tilt to her head, but Sam and Korrin seem to have it well in-hand. Merrill's still burnt herself, after all, and she's no healer.

Well, don't mind her. If there are any braziers left, she's just going to light those while carefully heading toward that box.
