Inconvenient. But the pain is all but forgotten as the mention of Venatori bending time comes across. He's heard things similar, and yet- someone willing to talk about it in person, as opposed to snippets and having to read about it?
"You would have to bring that up with the Fade, unfortunately, as I had no control of it. There is magic that can change time in my world too, though, but it is- not common. It is certainly chaotic, dangerous in the wrong hands. Would you tell me of what the Venatori did, as you understand it?"

He blinks for a moment, before tipping his head to the side thoughtfully to the side. "As I have been given to understand ... it had less to do with magic and more to deal with punching a whole through time itself."
no subject
"That sounds- familiar." Punching a hole through time. He frowns. "A witch in my world had her followers undertake a ritual to bring her back to the world and to separate her soul from her body so that she could not be easily killed. It disrupted the barrier between the waking world and the Void -- comparable to the Fade here, in that it is the realm of dreams and magic -- and the entire mansion that it took place in became a place where one could, with the correct knowledge, go back and forth in time."

A beat, a long and thoughtful beat. "Unless ... he is not. Interesting thought, there."

He's no expert on Corypheus by any means. But he is an expert on those that would consider themselves gods, being one himself -- not that he particularly wants to tell a Templar that.
"Why were the Venatori bending time? Is there any idea?"
no subject
"... Rumor has it they were trying to re-write the explosion of the Temple of Sacred Ashes."

Everyone has one. Even him. It makes sense that Corypheus does, too -- especially based on all the 'blah blah make Tevinter great again blah blah' rhetoric.
His head tilts, brow furrowed. "So that he would have these bits of Fade magic in his own hand, instead?"
