At that, she frowns. Sina is introverted, but loneliness isn't the same thing. Will she stay aware, like she is now? Or will she just become nothing, without the aid of strange rifter magic?

"Thedas is like that," she sighs, "even if you're from here." She'd never met a non-elf until she came to Skyhold.

"Are you lonely in Skyhold, too?"

It seems to be such a center -- for rebels, certainly, but for the lost. For those who need to fight for a cause. For those who just need to fight. For those who have just enough hope to drag themselves there.

She was the latter, he's certain. He wonders if she's running out of it.

Perhaps so, but the only place she'll admit it is in her dreams, where she doesn't filter her thoughts for the comfort of others. Or herself.
