Those sensitive to such things might notice that Cole is back. He's hard to remember at the best of times, and after such a long period, Cole himself expects virtually no one to remember who he is or that he's allowed to be here.

But it doesn't stop him doing what he does. Moving about, helping those he can.

"When they focus on me, it hurts. They hurt me."

He shifts on the spot and nods, happy to have the focus change again.

"What were you a king of?"

Well if it hurt him then he was going to have to make sure to be careful about that. So instead he let all the focus settle on him rather than asking for clarification.

"I am the King of Conquerors. In my time I ruled over many lands. I am well known and loved, in my own time and even many years after my time."

"... You're Conquest!"

That is an idea that Cole can grasp. Not the King of Conquerors, but a manifestation of Conquest is something he understands. Maybe born of Valour?

"You should have just said that. Iskandar just confused me, but Conquest I understand."

He stopped and he stared at him. Likely what one would determine was past the point of comfort. However, it wasn't for the reason one might thing.

Because soon he was laughing and smiling so brightly. He adored what Cole had come up with for him and was already adopting it to attach it to himself.

"The Spirit of Conquest! Yes! That is very much who I am!"

Cole didn't feel that discomfort and just waited quietly.

Because then there was joy bubbling past the shard, and it drew a small smile from Cole that he made Conquest laugh like that. "Conquest- that makes more sense."

"I'm pleased I'm easier to understand now. It certainly gives a firm grasp of who I am. This one I will have to share with those around me."

It was probably his favorite title to date now that he thought about it. The Spirit of Conquest. It was so perfect.

"Do you want me to call you Iskandar or Conquest? I use Cole, even though I'm Compassion."

"Hmmm. I would respond to whichever you called me honestly. I truly have so many names and titles that I tend to just respond to a voice in my direction now." He wasn't even joking about that too.

"But... do you have a preference?"

Cole responded to a lot of things. But he preferred being called Cole.

"Iskandar is what I am called so let us have you call me that. And I shall call you Cole."

He grinned at him then, obviously still so pleased with the situation. "I like being this Spirit of Conquest. It suits me a great deal. You have my thanks."

"Of course it suits you. It's what you are. You're just... more as well. Like me. I'm Compassion, but also Cole. You're Conquest, but also Iskandar."

"I like this logic. Ah tell me, do you happen to enjoy drinking?" Though the question was directed towards him to his preferences, he kept it to that so he could hopefully prevent too much discomfort. He only wished to find more ways to spend time with him. That was all.

"I don't drink. Or eat. Or sleep, actually." He didn't need to do any of them and something about food made his insides curl with fear and revulsion.

"But I keep my stuff above the tavern. I stay there a lot."

"I used to be like that actually. To not have to eat or drink or sleep. Of course I still did them all for the sheer pleasure of it but that is not really the point I suppose." So spirits here go to keep all of that not needing to do the physical needs thing? Interesting.

"Though you staying above the tavern works. It means we can continue to spend more time together!"

"I don't- I just keep some things there. And when I'm not needed, I sit up there and listen to the whispers of hurts easing into tankards." He owns basically nothing. He needs even less. "I don't like eating. Drinking water is all right, I suppose, but when we first came to Skyhold, there wasn't much food or drink."

"Amazing. I'm not sure I would much enjoy a life where I didn't like to eat or drink. Personally I find those to be some of the greatest pleasures in life. Then again I suppose you could appreciate that by being able to listen to those in the building below you." So Iskandar spoke on it no more and instead just broke into another smile. He was certainly the happiest conqueror around.

"Ah I know it brings you discomfort to have focus upon you but I wish to take a moment to thank you for this moment where we could meet each other. It has been glorious in my opinion."

"Cole starved to death."

It might explain his complicated feelings about food. Or not. It was always hard to say when Cole had such little insight into himself.

"... thank me?" He didn't understand why them meeting was worth thanking him for.

He took note of the words about Cole. He would have to ask about that another time. Perhaps when they could balance it more with talk about himself to bring Cole more comfort. Until then he just laughed a bit.

"Of course. I love that I got to have had this moment with you. Should I not thank you for a good time?"
